Sébastien Jomphe leads electrical design and hardware development at Spiralis Medical.

Most recently, Sébastien served as Head of Hardware at InfinityQ Inc. (2022–2025), managing and providing technical leadership to an R&D team developing combinatorial optimization computing systems across GPU, TPU, and FPGA architectures, and deploying a hybrid cloud/on-premise CI/CD pipeline and a hybrid CPU/GPU compute cluster on AWS. Prior to that, he led R&D hardware and firmware development, IT infrastructure, and production operations across OSSimTech and Symgery (2017–2022), where he redeveloped the electronic platform of a haptic robotic manipulator for a surgical simulator, including PCB design, firmware and led the product's regulatory compliance process. His earlier career spans R&D development at Sologlobe Logistique (2012–2017), a series of ventures he co-founded (Quattriuum, Nuax, Fluidsurface), and a research assistantship at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS).

Sébastien is a named inventor on patents spanning virtual reality surgical simulation and telesurgery, wireless sensor networks for electrical energy measurement, and human-machine interface technology.

Sébastien holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from École de technologie supérieure (2005), and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in microelectronics from Université de Sherbrooke (2001).
