Meet the team
Edgard Tambe, B. Eng., M. Eng.
Lead, Biomedical EngineeringEdgard Tambe works in biomedical product development at Spiralis Medical.
Edgard holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and completed his Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at École Polytechnique de Montréal.
At Medtronic, he led development of a novel cryoablation system spanning mechanical, electrical, and embedded software components, built test fixtures to support design verification testing on catheter systems, and conducted early-stage feasibility research on Pulsed Field Ablation systems within a regulated device development environment.
Earlier, Edgard interned in product design at LifeEngine Technologies (2024), working on cadaveric perfusion tooling and miniaturized systems, and in biomedical research at the Université de Montréal's Motion Simulation and Modeling Laboratory (2023), where he built a sensor-based gait analysis system paired with an AI-driven terrain classification app.
During his bachelor's degree, Edgard sought out a wide range of projects to gain broad exposure, serving as Technical Director for HÉKA's assistive robotic arm project (2024–2025), building a wearable athlete heat-stroke detection system for his third-year project, which won an industry award, and designing a rapid blood analysis device aimed at replacing COVID-style testing in future pandemics for his capstone project.
